Olivia's Pups at 6 Weeks

We're really pleased with the temperaments of these puppies and their sweet faces. I think we've never had an easier photo shoot at this age!!

This is the only male of the litter.

We simply call this female Number One.

And not very imaginatively, this is Girl Number Two.

This is the puppy I hope to keep. Her name will be "Anamchara Bombshell" ... "Harlow"

This was the best I could do for a group photo. Once down in the grass, away they went in all four directions!

Backyard Wildlife

On this, the last full weekend of spring, I came across some critters while doing yardwork that I thought I would share. Doesn't everyone do weeding and transplanting with a camera around their neck??:)

A very industrious bee among the columbine.

I've seen this toad a number of times now. I believe he's supposed to mean good luck.

Another bee, nearly dead centre in the verbascum.

And the scariest wildlife of all ... King of the Urban Jungle!!

It's Rustle the Intimidator!!

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid ...

A Perfect Storm

I visited my friend Laurel this past weekend, and we spent some time at the barn where her daughter Rachel trains. Rachel and Stormy ("A Perfect Storm"), make a terrific pair. They are both very strong competitors, and Rachel is so accomplished, she makes her hard work look easy. Almost :).

My Niece's Wedding

My niece Taylor was married this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day, and everything went off without a hitch. Chelsea, my daughter, was the Master (Mistress?) of Ceremonies, so I'm opening and closing this post with her. I'm extremely proud of her :).
