We are delighted that Rush was awarded Best in Show at the Argus Kennel Club show on June 23rd, handled by co-owner Claudia Proctor (Amaley). Ch Anamchara Animal House is also co-owned by Michelle Rogowski (Cassbar). We congratulate Rush's owners on this outstanding accomplishment!

And in our own backyard, our "Faith" is now Ch Anamchara Infatuation, going Best of Breed and then Group 1st at the Sarnia Kennel Club on July 5th. This is the first non-homebred champion for sire Ch Laureate Inception, and the third champion for her dam Am/Can Ch Shaydeechase Girl Interrupted. Another champion for co-owner Norm LeNeve!

My Cady

It was just a week ago, on May 24th, that I had to let my beautiful Cady go. She was 14 1/2 years old, and had lived, I think, a wonderful life by anyone's standards. She was much, much more to me than my (intended) foundation bitch. Bringing her home that day as a 12 week old was the beginning of so many firsts for us ... my first real show dog, my first litter, my first really fun dog, just so full of herself, she was hard to take seriously. 

I can't begin to relate all of the wonderful stories or to share the innumerable memories of my sweet girl, but they fill my heart, and have been great comfort to draw upon this last week and for many weeks, months, years to come. I am eternally grateful for the precious time we had together, and know that one day we'll meet again. Till then, I love you more you'll ever know, my Cady ...

Has It Really Been This Long?

Once again, I feel like I'm playing catch up. I haven't done much recreational photography over the last months, so that is definitely one reason I haven't been updating. And I've just started showing Fallon (Anamchara Infallible) and Faith (Anamchara Infatuation), and have only had one litter of one puppy and he is just 4 weeks old. 

Here he is at 2 weeks. His dam is our Best Puppy in Show Ch Anamchara Jacquard - "Kendall", and sire is Ch Lynphil Blues Baby Blues. 

And here is Fallon's recent photo, taken at her most recent show at age 11 months after garnering her first points as well as Best Puppy in Group. She is now waiting in the wings for her new coat, while I bring out her sister Faith .

I really hope to do more posting here. I've enjoyed my blog a lot in the past, now I just need to get back into the habit again :).
